01.Acceptance
By creating a ClipForge account or using any part of the ClipForge service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use ClipForge.
These Terms form a binding contract between you (the user) and ClipForge (the operator of useclipforge.com).
02.Your account
- You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
- You must provide accurate registration information.
- You are responsible for keeping your password secure. Do not share your account with anyone else.
- You are responsible for all activity that happens on your account.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
03.Acceptable use
You may use ClipForge to repurpose content you have the right to use. You may NOT:
- Upload content you do not own or do not have permission to use
- Generate content that is illegal, defamatory, harassing, or that infringes copyright
- Generate content that targets a specific person with intent to harass, defame, or impersonate them
- Scrape, crawl, or automate the ClipForge interface beyond your reasonable personal/business use
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract our proprietary prompts or models
- Resell, sublicense, or rebrand ClipForge as your own product (white-labeling requires a separate enterprise agreement)
- Use ClipForge to build a competing AI content repurposing service
If we believe you are violating these rules, we may suspend your account immediately without notice. We will tell you why and give you a chance to respond.
04.Subscriptions, payments, and refunds
Plans
ClipForge offers a Free tier (limited forges, refreshed monthly), a Pro tier ($29/month, 200 forges/month), and a Business tier ($99/month, unlimited forges). All pricing is in USD.
Billing
- Paid subscriptions are billed monthly via Stripe.
- Your card is charged on the calendar day you subscribe, and on the same day each subsequent month.
- Unused credits roll over to the next month, up to 2x your monthly allocation. Above that cap, additional credits expire at month end.
- If a payment fails, we will retry for 7 days. After that, your subscription drops to the Free tier — we do not delete your data.
Cancellations
You can cancel anytime from the Stripe Customer Portal (linked from your dashboard). Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you keep access until then.
Refunds
If you are not satisfied with ClipForge within the first 14 days of a paid subscription, email hello@useclipforge.com and we will refund the most recent charge, no questions asked. After 14 days, refunds are at our discretion.
Price changes
If we change our pricing, existing subscribers are grandfathered at their current price for at least 12 months. We will give you 30 days notice via email before any price increase takes effect.
05.Ownership of content
What you own
You own everything you upload to ClipForge: your source files, transcripts, brand voice samples, and any clips or content ClipForge generates from your inputs. You can use, modify, or commercialize ClipForge-generated content however you wish.
What we own
ClipForge owns the software, prompts, brand voice training methodology, dynamic OG card system, UI, and all underlying intellectual property of the service itself.
License you grant us
To operate ClipForge, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, process, and transmit your content solely to provide and improve the service. This license ends when you delete the content or your account.
Public forges
When you toggle a project to public and share its URL, you grant ClipForge a license to display the generated clips on that public URL until you make the project private again. We never display your source content (audio, video, raw transcript) on public pages.
06.AI-generated content disclaimer
- ClipForge generates text using third-party AI models (Claude Sonnet 4.5). Output may occasionally contain factual errors, biased language, or content that doesn't fit your brand.
- You are responsible for reviewing all generated content before publishing it. ClipForge is not liable for content you publish based on our output.
- We make no guarantee that generated content is original or free from coincidental similarity to existing material. Copyright claims arising from your use of ClipForge output are your responsibility.
07.Service availability
- We target 99.5% monthly uptime but do not guarantee it.
- We may schedule maintenance windows with at least 24 hours notice.
- If the service is unavailable for more than 4 consecutive hours due to our error, we will credit a pro-rated refund of that day's subscription value.
- We are not liable for downtime caused by third-party providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, Stripe, etc.) beyond providing reasonable transparency about incidents.
08.Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CLIPFORGE'S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, CONSEQUENTIAL, INCIDENTAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES — INCLUDING LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION — EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
In plain English: if something goes wrong and it's our fault, the most you can recover is what you paid us in the last 12 months. We do this because building a sustainable SaaS at fair prices requires capping unbounded liability.
09.Termination
- You can terminate your account at any time from the dashboard.
- We may terminate or suspend your account if you breach these Terms, or if continuing to provide service to you exposes us to legal risk.
- Upon termination, you can export your data within 30 days. After that, we delete your account and all associated content (except records we are legally required to retain).
10.Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.
Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of ClipForge shall be resolved first by good-faith negotiation. If that fails, disputes shall be resolved by binding arbitration in Wilmington, Delaware, conducted by JAMS under their commercial rules.
You may opt out of mandatory arbitration by emailing legal@useclipforge.com within 30 days of creating your account.
11.Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms occasionally. For material changes (anything affecting your rights, our liability, or your payment), we will give you at least 30 days notice via email. Continuing to use ClipForge after that period means you accept the updated Terms.
